Widow's House Ministry
This ministry was begun, based on the teaching of James 1:27, which instructs us to take care of the physical needs of the widows in our communities.
The guidelines for those who qualify for assistance from this ministry are as follows:
- Widows of any age or circumstance may qualify for assistance
- No widow will ever be required to pay for material or work completed on their home
- Widows who have the means to pay for material and work completed may give a donation of their choice to the Widow's House Ministry
- Repairs costing more than $250 for material must be approved by the Widow's House Committee
Any widow needing assistance with house repairs may contact the Baptist Brevard Association office.
This is a vital ministry of Brevard Baptist Association. Many widows don't know who to call when they have a need for house repairs. Many don't have the financial means to afford the repairs. Through this ministry, these needs can be met. If you are aware of a widow who needs assistance, please feel free to contact BBA at 321.631.0820.
